Your key safe code will be sent by SMS just after 1 hour before your arrival.
The key safe is by each apartment door maybe with a rubber cover. You need to remove the cover, push the button at the bottom of key safe down and put in the key safe number, making sure you push the buttons right in. You then need to pull down the button at the top of key safe down and open to remove keys. Closure is achieved by doing the above steps in reverse.
The key safe is also there for your use if you wish to return to the building at different times from others in your party – so extra keys should not be necessary. If you do lock yourself out, there will be a call out charge.
You will have one set of keys for your apartment, which is colour coded as follows:
The main front door to the building should always be kept shut. If the key code lock fails for any reason the red key on your key set will open the front door manually. Access to the garden is via the garden floor. Once in the garden you will need the code to re-enter the house – You need to press C, then the same numeric code as the main front door, followed by Z. You will have been left one set of keys in the key box outside your apartment.
Check in is at 3pm unless earlier has been pre-booked (£). Apartments must be vacated by 10am on the morning of departure also unless pre-booked. Guests who arrive earlier or leave later than the above agreed time, will be subject to a charge of £20 per hour for each full hour up to three hours either side, outside of this timeframe the daily charge will be made.
Please ensure you take all your personal belongings with you upon check out and if you leave anything and wish for it to be sent back there is a charge and we can accept no responsibility of returned items.
Parking is available unrestricted on Warren Rd and there is a large public car park nearby on Shedden Hill if required.
Free ultra-fast Wi-Fi is available throughout Astor House. Please choose the strongest Plumlocations signal and the password is (lower case) astor2517.
If you can’t immediately access the Wi-Fi, please check password carefully; choose another network as above or turn access point (if available) off for at least 30 seconds.
We welcome you with a hospitality tray with a basic selection of hot drinks and biscuits, toiletries and kitchen essentials for your convenience. As we are a self catering facility we provide enough provisions to last you for your first 24 hours with us. Stays over a week will receive a clean and linen change.
Should anything get broken during your stay please also let us know so that we can ensure it is replaced for the next guests. It is also expected that you leave your apartment in a reasonable condition (ie: dishes washed, rubbish in bins and bins put outside). Failure to do so will result in extra cleaning time being required and this maybe chargeable to you.
We want you to be comfortable during your stay. The heating is controllable for your comfort. However, our business is also committed to our sustainability principles, and for this reason we would ask you to help us reduce our carbon footprint by observing the following:

Please note that no wet wipes, nappies or sanitary products can be put down the toilets. Putting anything down apart from toilet paper may cause an immediate blockage.
Cots and high chairs will have been put in the apartment if pre-booked (free of charge). Please note we do not provide cot bedding.
You will find sofa bedding and/or Z beds in the apartment if pre-booked (£) – please use the mattress protector supplied.
There is a free communal laundry on the garden floor along the corridor to the right of the stars. This contains washing machines and dryers.
For those with washing machines with dryers in the apartment, please put no more than half a washing load to dry as otherwise the electricity may trip out and there is a breakdown risk. Apartments are also equipped with drying racks.
The bins are to the left of the property as you go out of the main door.
Please check in the kitchen drawer where you will find instructions for appliances and a list which details the location of your fire blanket/fire extinguishers, first aid kit, water stop clock & electricity mains.
