Parking

As soon as you arrive please ensure that you display your visitors parking permit on your dashboard, the car parking wardens are very vigilant morning, day and night and will not hesitate to issue fines! Upon check in please take time to read the parking instructions carefully. Daily parking permits are provided and will be available in the apartment. Please make sure these are filled in and displayed correctly in your car at all times. Please see the parking map for Zone A parking, please check any time restrictions on the road signs. You will need to display a permit for the day of departure as wardens start patrol at 8am (you can leave in the car the day before). Please note the permits do not guarantee parking and if the roads are busy there are three nearby car parks (Meadfoot Road, Beacon Quay and Montpelier Street). These are available for a daily charge or longer permits are available from Tourist Information Office for all Torbay car parks. Please note your daily permits are not valid in these car parks.

Strictly no parking is permitted in the central courtyard except drop off only for disabled guests.

Access

You will have one set of keys for your apartment, which is left in the key safe box: The key safe is also there for your use if you wish to return to the building at different times from others in your party – so extra keys should not be necessary. If you do lock yourself out, there will be a call out charge.

Check In / Out

Check in is at 3pm. Apartments must be vacated by 10am on the morning of departure unless alternative arrangements have been booked. Guests who arrive earlier or leave later, than the above agreed time, will be subject to a charge of £20 per hour for each full hour up to three hours either side, outside of this timeframe the daily charge will be made.
Please ensure you take all your personal belongings with you upon check out and if you leave anything and wish for it to be sent back there is a charge and we can accept no responsibility of returned items.

Welcome Tray

We provide a choice of welcome hot drinks and biscuits, complementary toiletries and kitchen essentials for your convenience. As we are a self catering facility we provide enough provisions to last you for your first 24 hours with us, after this time you will need to provide anything else you require.

Housekeeping

We do hope that you find your apartment cleaned to a very high standard with everything working and available. However, if you do experience any problems on arrival, or during your stay, it is very important you let the House Manager (07841 020475) know straight away so that we can take immediate steps to put it right. It is not  possible to properly address any complaints of this nature  after departure. Should anything get broken during your stay please also let us know so that we can ensure it is replaced for the next guests. It is also expected that you leave your apartment in a reasonable condition (ie: dishes washed, rubbish in bins and bins put outside). Failure to do so will result in extra cleaning time being required and this maybe chargeable to you.

Toilets

Please note that no wet wipes, nappies or sanitary products can be put down the toilets. Putting anything down apart from toilet  paper may cause an immediate blockage.

Cot/Highchair/Z-bed

Cots, high chairs and/or Z beds and bedding will have been put in the apartment if pre-booked. Please note we do not provide cot bedding.

Sofa Bed/Spare Bedding

These will be left for you if booked – please use the mattress protector supplied.

Laundry

If you wish to use your washing machines and dryers, please put no more than half a washing load to dry as otherwise the electricity may trip out and there is a breakdown of risk. Apartments are also equipped with drying racks.

Heating

Most apartments have gas combi boilers except for Nos 10a, 30, 32 and 34 which are all electric. Please check the boiler settings on arrival: off/hot water only/hot water and heating and you can adjust the radiators to your own preference. The pressure occasionally drops which you can see when the boiler dial drops to 0. The boiler can be re-pressurised by opening the tap to the silver pipe underneath the boiler for a very short while until the pressure increases to 1 or call the Housekeeper for assistance.

You can check whether the hot water is on when you arrive on the tank usually in the airing cupboard. Radiators are controlled individually using the dial to turn on and off and change the temperature.

Refuse

When your bin is full, please dispose of your rubbish bag to one of the large main disposal bins. This is at the far end of the central courtyard through the passage. Refuse will be collected from this point only.

Instruction Manual/Health & Safety

Please check in the kitchen drawer where you will find instructions for appliances and a list which details the location of your fire blanket/fire extinguishers, first aid kit, water stop clock & electricity mains.
