Covid-19 Secure Precautions
We have adopted the national certificated COVID-19 Secure cleaning standards and protocols “Cleaning Protocols for Self-Catering Properties and Short Term Lets in the Context of Covid-19” (www.pasc.co.uk) as summarised below.
- A risk assessment has been completed for each property
- Staff trained to new Covid-19 Secure standards with PPE and fitness to work requirements
- Self-check-in and check-out
- Apartments cleaned and disinfected using a virucidal disinfectant (EN 14476) which kills viruses
- Hand sanitizer installed at entrance to properties
- Bed linen professionally laundered; and clean mattress protector and pillow protector for each changeover with wipeable pillows available as spares
- Increased cleaning of communal areas – paying particular attention to door handles/key safes/handrails
- Social distancing measures required with guests asked to message not approach staff
- Extension of time between changeovers to allow for deep cleaning (9.30am-5pm) with early check ins and late check outs suspended for the time being
- Superfluous soft furnishings such as cushions and bed runners/throws have been removed
- Guest information folders have been removed and information emailed in advance
- Anti-bacterial handwash provided at kitchen sinks; liquid soaps in bathrooms
- Interim cleaning during longer guest stays is suspended clean linen/towels will be left for stays over 1 week
- Only essential maintenance can be undertaken during a guest stay
- Guests asked to air property on departure and strip beds/bag up linen
Guests are required to notify us of any Covid-19 symptoms before, during and after their stay.
We are monitoring and reviewing the situation regularly and if needed, will implement any changes that are required to ensure optimum hygiene and safety.
